Reaching the championships venue from Riga International Airport (RIX)
Riga International Airport (RIX) is located approximately 12 km from ΔΆΔ«psala (the championships area) and is very easily accessible by public transport. The trip from the airport to the city centre typically takes 30 minutes, and the Latvian Bridge Federation has also negotiated preferential rates with a local taxi company for participants.
Public Transportation
The most affordable way to reach the venue from the airport is the RΔ«gas Satiksme city bus No. 22, which connects RIX directly to the Old Town. Get off at the Kauguru iela stop β the closest one to ΔΆΔ«psala β and walk a short distance to the Exhibition Centre. For late arrivals, the N22 night bus covers the same route.

Where to buy tickets
Ticket machines at the stop, Narvesen kiosks, the RΔ«gas Satiksme or Mobilly apps, or from the driver (contactless card only).
Frequency
Every 10β20 minutes, daily from approx. 05:25 to 00:40.
Validate & transfer
Tap on board. The β¬1.50 ticket is valid 90 minutes across bus, tram and trolleybus.
Tip for Old Town hotels
If your hotel is on the Old Town side of the river, the 90-minute ticket lets you stay on Bus 22 past Kauguru iela and reach the city centre, or transfer to a tram on the same fare.
Taxi & Shuttle Service
The Latvian Bridge Federation has agreed special rates with a local taxi company for transfers between Riga International Airport and the venue area. Two vehicle options are available:
