Format
The 24th European Open Champions' Cup and the 4th European Women's Champions' Cup are played under the auspices of the European Bridge League at the Hilton Zurich, Switzerland, from Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 November 2026. Both series follow the same three-stage format, producing a complete ranking from 1 to 12.
Qualifying stage
The 12 participating teams in each series play a complete round robin: 11 rounds of 10 boards each.
Semifinal stage
Teams are split into three groups by round-robin ranking: A (1–4), B (5–8) and C (9–12). In each group the top-ranked team chooses its opponent from the two lowest-ranked teams; the other two play each other.
Each match is played over two stanzas of 16 boards.
Final stage
In each group the two winners meet for the higher places and the two losers for the lower ones, again over two stanzas of 16 boards.
