SECTION 1

About the Workshop

A training programme for Tournament Directors who are not yet on the Official TD Register of the EBL/WBF.

The Tournament Director Workshops are designed for TDs who are not on the Official TD Register of the EBL/WBF.

The aim is to support local TD training in the NBOs by improving the knowledge and synchronizing the work and methodology of TDs. Special care will be taken to improve the TD's work in the small federations.

The language of instruction is English, and a working knowledge of English is required.

The path to the WBF/EBL Director level

Participants who are successful in the Workshops will be invited to the next Max Bavin TD Course, where they will have the opportunity of achieving the level of WBF/EBL Director.

The 2026 Workshop will be held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 26th to 29th November 2026 at the Gorrion Istanbul Hotel.

The fee includes 3 nights hotel accommodation, TD course and all programmes.

Bed & Breakfast Option 1

Meals will be available separately at the price of 25 EUR each (dinner and supper) or as orders a la carte at the hotel restaurant.

Full Board Option 2

2 meals included, dinner and supper, at the times which will be specified in the programme.

Extend your stay

Participants who wish to extend their stay either before or after the Workshop may do so at a special daily Bed and Breakfast rate of €85 for a single room or €95 for a double room.

Application and payment

Applications can be submitted by the participant or by their National Bridge Organisation. Registration is completed with the online payment of the participation fee.
